I've signed up for a lot of new emails recently, following my foray into the world of fails on email marketing so I've taken to adding places which I've shopped at. I recently went to Southampton and went to the Hollister store (think dark and dingy nightclub with beautiful looking employees), so I signed up to their emails and this was the first one I received. Now I realise that Hollister is the "younger" brand of Abercrombie but surely you want to keep their styling a little seperate, perhap appeal to their target market of 14-18 years old with some funkier styling? I've attached images of 2 previous Abercrombie emails (one of them the infamous sidescroller and the other just an ordinary Abercrombie email) to show you what I mean. I instantly recognised the styling (and I have a pretty poor memory too!) – maybe this is the intention they're going for?
